    Opportunity

    The Sr. Enterprise Strategy Manager helps lead Kohler's enterprise strategy, consisting of working with KLT members on defining Kohler's Enterprise Strategy and working with leaders within the business units on strategy deployment and strategic planning. The main outcomes that the Sr. Enterprise Strategy Manager is contributing to are an up to date long-term (5-year) Enterprise Strategic plan translated into a short-list of strategic priorities and support - in form of a leading or support role, to the implementation of the strategic priorities to drive Kohler's mission to enhance the level of gracious living for all people touched by our products and services.

    The Sr. Enterprise Strategy Manager is a creative, out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious with a demonstrated interest in learning. This person is also a self-motivated, high-energy individual who can easily function in a high demand, performance-driven environment. He/she is accustomed to working on multiple tasks in parallel. The Sr. Enterprise Strategy Manager demonstrates strong leadership skills, best demonstrated by the individual's ability to gain credibility with team members and senior management.

    The Sr. Enterprise Strategy Manager is part of a team that works with Kohler's enterprise, business, and functional leaders to define, plan and monitor strategic initiatives across the organization. This includes the creation and coordination of content in service of strategy and performance updates to Kohler's Leadership Team and Board of Directors.

    Specific Responsibilities

    • Support the development of key enterprise, business, and functional strategies for the organization.

    • Coordinate the development of (market, industry, customer, consumer, competitive) trend analysis to enable discussion of future opportunities and risks.

    • Coordinates and participates in discussions regarding mission, strategy, and metrics for the company.

    • Continuously pressure-test Kohler's strategy and strategic initiatives, ensuring proper alignment with mission and long-term goals.

    • Engages in development of overall enterprise strategy vis-à-vis external (including competitive strategies) and internal environments; works with Strategic Planning team to monitor and facilitate discussions around strategic risks and opportunities.

    • Identify and continuously monitor strategic initiatives - bringing benefits of $100Ms for the organization - for ways to accelerate and remove roadblocks.

    • Cascade and support deployment of enterprise strategic priorities across business, geographies, and functions.

    • Coordinate with business and functional partners - including global and regional partners - to implement strategic priorities.

    • Supports M&A team on acquisition target analysis and business case development, led by proactive analysis of gaps and opportunities in enterprise, business, and functional strategies.

    • Undertakes strategic and tactical risk modeling and scenario planning (including workshop development) for critical decisions in support of enterprise, business, and functional strategies.

    • Design and develop annual enterprise strategic planning process; integrate (financial and human) resource allocation and budget processes into strategic planning.

    • Help lead the enterprise strategic planning process across businesses, geographies, and functions.

    • Facilitate team and partner discussions as part of the strategic planning process.

    • Help produce and deliver the annual enterprise strategic plan: key initiatives, timeline, metrics, owners, and financials/ budgets.

    • Work with HR to define cultural elements essential to strategy implementation; be the spear of cultural change required for strategy acceleration.

    • Contribute to making partners and leaders successful through support and development.

    Skills/Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA Degree a plus.

    • Requires 5+ years of work experience; 2+ years experience in strategic function and/ or strategic consulting preferred.

    • Exceptional analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills.

    • Ability to connect dots across disparate bodies of work, synthesizing insights.

    • Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to "think on your feet" and express thoughts logically and succinctly.

    • Track record building strong working relationships, including influencing without authority.

    • Strength in creating structure within ambiguity.

    • Flexible and agile, comfortable with making pivots.

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills (including fluency in Microsoft PowerPoint) required.

    • Ability to develop business plans and model financials (in Excel) required.

    The salary range for this position is $138,350 - $177,900. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
