    Opportunity

    The Sr. Learning & Development Manager, Americas leads learning and development (L&D) within the Americas region, identifying, developing, and implementing learning solutions against business specific and enterprise opportunities while ensuring alignment to the global learning strategy. This position will work closely with Talent Leadership, HR Business Partners, and the Sr. Learning & Facilitation Manager - Americas to provide learning solutions that generate measurable results and foster a culture of continuous learning and growth within Kohler.

    Specific Responsibilities

    • Strategy:Develop and own the Americas region L&D strategy.Work in partnership with business leaders, HRBPs, and other stakeholders to identify regional needs through a learning needs analysis.Ensure alignment with global L&D and Talent strategies and identify key performance indicators (KPIs) that will be used to measure effectiveness of solutions.

    • Partner:Act as the Talent and L&D Community of Excellence (COE) liaison/partner to the region's leaders and stakeholders.Regularly communicate with HR Business Partners (HRBPs) and HR Managers to stay abreast of business needs, partner on solutions, and share L&D and Talent offerings and resources-both global and regional.This role will be the region's main point of contact for regional L&D and Talent needs.

    • Create synthesis:Identify and maintain synergy of regional L&D solutions with all Talent initiatives (e.g. leadership programs; diversity, equity, and inclusion programs; talent management processes), Kohler's mission, and Kohler's Bold Leader behavioural competencies.Effectively explain the relationship between regional/business specific solutions and the broader Talent strategy and organizational goals and needs.Motivate stakeholders to buy-in to solutions that achieve local and enterprise business goals.

    • Solutions:Partner with the Sr. Learning & Facilitation Manager - Americas to design and deliver best-in-class, modern L&D solutions that meet local and enterprise stakeholder needs.Incorporate best practices and delivery methodologies/channels that engage stakeholders and achieve desired learning outcomes.Benchmark against internal (Kohler's other regional L&D teams) and external L&D providers.

    • Communication/Promotion:Develop regional communication strategy to promote learning offerings and resources through appropriate communication channels and in partnership with the HR communications team.Align with other regions on approach and timing.

    • Measure:Work with our Learning measurement partner, Metrics-that-Matter to measure regional programs effectiveness.Maintain metrics dashboard on learning initiatives and report out regularly on regionals KPIs.

    • Grow Learning Culture:Reinforce associate ownership of development to drive a learning culture and create a "pull" (versus "push") learning environment.This includes promoting the usage of our digital learning solutions, LinkedIn Learning and the Franklin Covey Impact Platform.

    • Work with the Early Careers team and the Sr. Learning & Facilitation Manager to identify possible local university partnerships to bring certificate and degree programs to Kohler.

    • External Consultant Engagement & Management:Partner with the Sr. Learning & Facilitation Manager - Americas to identify and manage external regional consultants/vendors/institutions to deliver solutions as applicable.Create and monitor cost and effectiveness measures, adjusting as needed.

    • Develop own capabilities by participating in assessment and development planning activities as well as formal and informal training and coaching; gain or maintain external professional accreditation where relevant to improve performance and fulfill personal potential. Maintain an understanding of relevant technology and industry best practices through ongoing education, networking, and reading L&D media.

    Skills/Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in Learning & Development, Instructional Design, Adult Education, Organizational Psychology or related field. Master's degree or professional certifications in learning and development are a plus.

    • 8+ years of experience in learning and development

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels.

    • Strong understanding of adult learning theory, instructional design principles, and best practices in learning evaluation.

    • Project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.

    • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment.

    • Proficiency in learning management systems (LMS) , e-Learning platforms, and virtual learning tools a plus.

    • Software knowledge of Articulate a plus.

    • Bilingual capabilities, such as fluency in Spanish, are highly preferred.

    • Experience in global program management is a plus.

    Applicants must be authorized to work in the US without requiring sponsorship now or in the future.

    The salary range for this position is $117,000 - $149,500. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, their education, and the work location. Available benefits include medical, dental, vision & 401k.
