    • The Senior Manager, Fleet Planning is part of the Fleet Planning and Analysis team.

    • This role is responsible for American Airlines' fleet of more than 1,500 aircraft, including long and short-term planning decisions, aircraft orders and retirements, and significant fleet related analytical decisions.

    What you'll do

    • Support the development of the Company's long term fleet strategy

    • Engage with Commercial Planning, Technical Operations, Treasury, and other key stakeholders on aircraft related investments and analyses - including aircraft orders, retirements, configurations, etc.

    • Create and publish mainline and regional fleet plans and related reporting deliverables (aircraft counts and statistics, capital requirements, etc.)

    • Develop and maintain comprehensive and detailed economic cost analyses for aircraft types

    • Oversee analyses related to engine acquisitions, dispositions, and long-term maintenance agreements

    • Prepare materials for Senior Executives and Board of Directors meetings

    All you'll need for success

    Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    • Bachelor's Degree in relevant field or equivalent experience/training

    • 3 years experience in finance and/or accounting

    • 2 years of prior leadership experience

    Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

    • MBA, CFA, or other Advanced Degree

    • Strong understanding of airline/aircraft economics

    Skills, Licenses & Certifications

    • Strong aptitude in Microsoft Office, to include Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.

    • Ability to provide strong leadership and teamwork with the ability to motivate, take initiative and manage stress, while working effectively in a variety of situations

    • Knowledge of analytical approaches pertaining to financial issues

    • Skills in strong analytics with financial modeling and analysis experience

    • Ability to logically structure analyses and develop creative solutions for business, financial and operational challenges

    • Ability to manage projects end-to-end
