  • Overview

    We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Manager of Process Innovation to join our dynamic team at a 900-location physical therapy company. In this position, you will be instrumental in reshaping the overall patient experience through innovative process enhancements, technological advancements, and other strategic patient engagement initiatives. Your responsibilities will include contributing to the creation of a comprehensive, patient-centric communication roadmap that seamlessly aligns with our organizational objectives. The ideal candidate for this role will spearhead mini-testing initiatives, leveraging their innovative mindset to craft impactful solutions that elevate efficiency, quality, and the overall patient experience.

    Responsibilities

    Patient Experience Strategy

    • Perform a comprehensive analysis of the existing patient engagement landscape, pinpointing opportunities for optimization across business units to enhance the overall patient experience

    • Strategically align patient touchpoints with key business opportunities, aiming to maximize the impact of patient engagement

    • Support with the development a forward-thinking strategy that coordinates outreach messages to ensure they are clear, timely, and aligned with patient needs

    High Level Solution Design

    • Lead the creation of our mini-testing roadmap, systematically evaluating and learning from diverse patient engagement opportunities to inform future strategies

    • Ensure that insights obtained from testing play a crucial role in steering the direction of technology integration and continuous process improvement

    • Contribute to the design of patient engagement solutions, carefully considering existing processes, workflow intricacies, and operational nuances to ensure seamless integration

    Product Development

    • Utilize technology to personalize messages based on patient preferences and needs and implement data-driven insights to tailor communications for better engagement

    • Innovate and develop products, services, and tools that strategically enhance existing patient engagement processes, contributing to overall business value

    Stakeholder Engagement

    • Engage in interviews and consultations with colleagues across the enterprise, clinic staff, and management to gather valuable insights and perspectives, informing strategic decision-making

    • Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders to understand their needs and challenges, and garner support for patient engagement and process innovation initiatives

    • Support with the organization's patient engagement committee, building out the patient engagement strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders

    Idea Generation & Research

    • Generate creative and impactful process improvement and patient engagement ideas through independent brainstorming and field research

    • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies relevant to physical therapy operations

    • Continuously explore innovative strategies to optimize operational efficiency and patient care

    Qualifications

    Minimum Education

    Required:

    • Bachelor's degree in business, operations management, healthcare, or related field

    Preferred:

    • Master's degree preferred in relevant field of study

    Minimum Experience

    Required:

    • Minimum of 5 years of experience in process improvement, patient engagement, business strategy, or related roles with a track record for driving tangible results OR

    • Minimum of 2 years of experience in process improvement, business strategy, or related roles AND minimum of 3 years of direct patient care delivery with track record of driving tangible results

    Preferred:

    • Direct patient facing experience within retail healthcare delivery

    • Experience in referral/prescription intake process innovation and patient adherence/care solution development and implementation

    Knowledge Skills and Abilities

    • Proven experience in developing and implementing patient engagement strategies within healthcare or a similar setting

    • Comprehensive understanding and hands-on experience in managing projects through the entire lifecycle, from research and development to post-launch monitoring and improvement

    • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively across diverse business units

    • Excellent analytical skills to interpret data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions

    • Proven ability to foster a culture of innovation, encouraging the exploration of new tools and technologies for process improvement and product development

    • High level of adaptability, creativity, and problem-solving ability in a dynamic healthcare environment.

    • Previous experience in healthcare operations, process improvement, or related roles is highly desirable
