    In this exciting role as a Senior Software Project Manager, you will have responsibility for leading cloud software development programs that support Neuromodulation therapies including Deep Brain Stimulation, Spinal Cord Stimulation, Pelvic Health and Targeted Drug Delivery. The Senior Software Project Manager is accountable for ensuring software execution and delivery across agile/scrum teams within the Neuromodulation software organization.

    This includes responsibility to guide software development teams in daily development activities, provide program/project planning, scheduling and tracking, and help drive functional excellence in program execution for the software organization. The candidate must be self-driven, with strong understanding of project management, the Software Development Lifecycle process and strong technical and leadership skills.

    A Day in the Life

    Responsibilities include but are not limited to

    • Responsible for project planning including identifying requirements, developing work plans, managing program and project budgets, building schedules, and partnering with team members to determine and communicate functional and/or resource requirements.

    • Own and Manage execution against an aggressive but achievable program and/or project plan, provide work direction to team members, work with peer project managers/cross functional program team members to monitor dependencies and ensure that critical program milestones and deliverables are met.

    • Collaborate with Core Team Leaders, Architects & Systems Engineers, and Human Factors Engineers to drive project within scope, cost, and schedule.

    • Lead a team of software engineers (Employees and Vendor resources) to deliver on program commitments.

    • Communicate project status and issues to functional and core team leadership as appropriate. Proactively manage project quality, risks, and issues.

    • Provide input for setting team member's performance objectives and provide feedback to the functional leaders about performance against project deliverables and core competencies.

    Must Have: Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelors degree in a technical discipline (engineering or science) required

    • Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years relevant experience

    Nice to Have

    • 5+ years of program or project management experience.

    • Strong understanding of software development and software systems.

    • Experience in medical device Product Development.

    • Experience working in a regulated environment.

    • Strong experience working across a matrixed organization using written and verbal skills to communicate and understand cross-functional teams' interactions and responsibilities.

    • Influence management skills: experience working collaboratively at all levels in matrix environment to build and maintain the positive relationships required to accomplish organizational goals.

    The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico. Base pay is based on numerous factors and may vary by job-related knowledge, skills, experience, etc. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).
