Staff Accountant (Reconciliations)

Description

Robert Half is working with an established Automotive Dealer in adding a Reconciliations Specialist to their team. This is a long-term contract-hire role based in Fayetteville, AR. This is a great opportunity for candidates looking to grow their accounting career.

The Reconciliations Specialist will be responsible for ensuring accuracy and consistency in financial records by reconciling various accounts, identifying discrepancies, and resolving issues in a timely manner. This role requires strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily, monthly, and yearly reconciliations of financial transactions, including bank statements, general ledger accounts, and other financial records.

• Identify and investigate discrepancies or variances between financial records and ensure timely resolution.

• Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders to address reconciliation issues and collaborate on solutions.

• Maintain accurate documentation of reconciliation processes and results for auditing purposes.

• Assist in the development and implementation of reconciliation procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.

• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify trends, patterns, or potential risks.

• Provide support and assistance to other team members as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred

• Previous experience in reconciliations or accounting roles preferred.

• Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail.

• Excellent organizational and time management skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
