  • Primary Responsibilities

    Leverage outside-in best practices and trends + inside-out needs to identify or establish, codify, and share the common threads across our marketing teams so that we operate more effectively and efficiently. Specifically:

    • Enterprise Marketing Transformation Strategy Refresh : Partner with Marketing SLT to identify, activate, and evolve the Big Bets and investments that will transform the marketing function to inspire and fuel growth.

    • Serve as official Enterprise Marketing lead within the Enterprise Multiyear Strategy Development Process:

    • Represent marketing in-person at the annual Summit and ensure the appropriate business marketing leaders are connected to the process

    • Post-Summit, partner with senior Marketing leadership to identify any Portfolio asks that will modernize the function; develop outside-in POV to support Portfolio asks, as-needed

    • Annual Planning : Drive a planning and execution process that is anchored on a shared business + marketing destination where teams collaboratively define the marketing strategies, objectives, programs, investments and success measures that will accelerate our enterprise and LOB priorities.

    • Develop the planning frameworks and tools our marketing peers use so that we have a consistent planning approach and outcomes

    • Facilitate at least two Shared Destination workshops between Marketing, Sales/Ops, and Product leads

    • Define a consistent approach to KPI and metrics setting - and tracking - across the Program Family Framework

    • Marketing Prioritization : Establish and activate quarterly sessions that drive prioritization and decision making across the marketing function based on business performance, status of our Marketing plans, and emerging market headwinds / tailwinds.

    • Develop Prioritization Matrix to help marketers prioritize resources in a consistent way

    • Partner across Marketing Ops and Marketing leadership to develop SLT-level growth platform-specific dashboards

    • Partner with Chief of Staff to design and facilitate growth platform-specific quarterly sessions

    Core Qualifications/Competencies should include:

    • Candidate should possess a BA and have at least 7 years of relevant work experience (MBA preferred)

    • A natural systems-thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills; someone who can anticipate future needs from current information

    • In-depth knowledge of Marketing trends and best practices across the healthcare category and broader business landscape

    • Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities and/or projects using appropriate methodologies and tools

    • Excellent oral, written communication, and presentation skills; Ability to present complex information in succinct, meaningful ways

    • Ability to foster collaboration, value others' perspectives and gain support throughout the organization

    • Adaptable, flexible and able to lead / manage through change

    • Proven track record of delivering impactful and sustainable results

    • Strong business acumen, with proven ability to leverage knowledge base and resources to quickly come up to speed in new areas

    • Ability to work from a Cigna office 3 days a week, as requested by the business

    • Experience leading talent development and/or training initiatives
