    Supply Chain Manager - C3 Value Chain (2200574) - Houston, TX

    Where the Chemistry Happens

    The Petrochemicals business is responsible for producing and delivering a range of high-quality chemicals and polymers to customers world-wide. As the Supply Chain Manager of the C3 Value Chain and a member of the N. America supply chain leadership you will be a key to both daily operational success and our strategic initiatives. As the team lead, you will direct a team of planning professionals (~7), warehouse contractor operations team (~50) and leverage multiple internal and 3 rd party service platforms to ensure operational and business success. The focus is on the Oxo-Alcohols, Acrylic Monomers, and Super Absorbent Polymers product families with production in Texas gulf coast region and imports/exports with BASF affiliates and customers globally.

    The Supply Chain team's primary responsibility is to ensure materials availability and process transactions as required to satisfy our operational and customer requirements. This success is ensured through ownership of Sales & Operation Planning(S&OP), ERP(SAP) and Integrated Planning (OMP) system and process expertise. As the strategic leader, you have responsibility to identify and implement strategic change relative to fixed and working capital, asset utilization, digitalization, process changes and team skill development. The Supply Chain Manager leadership is critical to facilitate a Continuous Improvement approach to our activities and ultimately impact our Customer Experience success.

    Formula for Success

    • Leveraging your education in Supply Chain, Logistics, IT/IS, Engineering, or related field, you will be responsible for the day-to-day leadership of the Value Chain planning team to enable business performance and operational success.

    • Relying on your experience and knowledge with Supply Chain planning and operations, you will enable the success of our S&OP process, production scheduling, raw material and inventory management, network distribution and 3 rd party activities utilizing SAP ERP, OMP Integrated Planning system, Analytical tools (PowerBI), and supplemental informational/transactional systems.

    • Through a strong strategic focus and relationship management skills, you will work cross-functionally with operations, commercial leadership, sales, controlling, and service platforms to assess and propose strategic process changes and/or asset investments which ensure our supply capabilities and reliability relative to capacity, planned and unplanned outages, safety, packaging and warehouse operations, business continuity and growth initiatives.

    • Develop and adhere to a Continuous Improvement mindset and principles supported through analytics, reporting and analysis to drive improvements in supply chain processes, capabilities, flexibility, reliability, and financial performance (i.e. Asset Effectiveness, DR, NCMs, Working Capital, Costs).

    • Acting as a driver for change, you will identify and implement initiatives aligned with our digital roadmap and strategy to improve our process and team effectiveness and efficiency. This includes implementation and value extraction from our OMP integrated planning and SAP ERP systems.

    • Demonstrating your leadership, you will play a critical role in people & team development by establishing an inclusive and high-performance team culture through the setting of targets and objectives, providing coaching and feedback, encouraging team input and innovation, supporting skill and knowledge building, and motivating talent to reach their full potential.

    • With advanced presentation skills, utilize data analysis, process expertise and situational awareness to compile and present precise conclusions and recommendations to the broader supply chain, business team, service platforms, 3 rd party service providers both regionally and globally.

    • With disciplined and adaptable time management skills, manage multiple priorities, deliver assignments and actions on time, drive stakeholder collaboration and decision-making to ensure successful activity closure.
