    Job Purpose:

    The Supply Chain Manager provides coordination between our Customers, Operations, and Suppliers. The candidate will ensure the design and successful execution of Supply Chain strategies and processes in addition to supporting the day-to-day activities around planning, purchasing, customer service and logistics. The manager will drive enhancements in our ERP system to continuously improve on-time delivery to customers, reduce supply chain costs, optimize inventory turns, and increase vendor performance.

    Key Job Elements:

    • Work closely with Engineering and Purchasing to effectively and collaboratively develop supplier capability for output of production quality parts, meeting PR specifications;

    • Identify high risk suppliers and their capabilities/risk items;

    • Apply advanced knowledge of manufacturing and engineering processes to guide improvement and solutions;

    • Program manage capability efforts to include documented project plan with specific actions and deadlines;

    • Participate in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) for NPI with suppliers;

    • Conduct supplier audits and coach for continuous improvement;

    • Resolve chronic supplier quality issues (multiple QN, PERS, Warranty Claims) at the suppliers manufacturing site for continuous improvement;

    • Assist Purchasing in cost reduction and supplier cost recovery projects with existing suppliers;

    • Identify PR process gaps as it relates to Supplier Excellence and make recommendations for correction; Manage nonconforming supplier material with containment, rework and cost recovery;

    • Provide oversight over warehouse and warehouse personnel; directly manage warehouse manager and indirectly manage warehouse staff;

    • Assist with setting and evaluating Safety Stock and Inventory levels to satisfy internal manufacturing and external part sales requirements;

    • Drive consistency and efficiency in managing and controlling material and tooling needs (incorporation of barcoding, vending, check-in / check-out, etc.);

    • Establish, implement and ensure compliance of supply chain policies and procedures;

    • Maintain, communicate, and improve Supply Chain Key Performance Indicators;

    • Improve effectiveness of our ERP system;

    • Continually develop expertise in Supply Chain team to support company growth;

    • Complete other special projects and analyses as needed.

    Qualifications and Experience:

    • Bachelor's degree in Logistics or related field of study

    required;

    • 5+ years of experience in supply chain management or similar field;

    • 3+ years' experience managing the work of others;

    • Experience forecasting and budgeting;

    • Experience and knowledge of purchasing process;

    • Experience using SAP or other related software;

    • Strong negotiation and decision-making skills;

    • Excellent communication skills required;

    • Experience working in a manufacturing environment;

    • Strong analytical, problem-solving and attention to detail;

    • Microsoft Office skills required.
