A DAY IN THE LIFE:
Conductsales calls to promote, sell, and service Medtronic Diabetes products andservices to existing and potential physicians and patients.
Implementmarket development plans/strategies and quarterly sales plan to achievesales goals and objectives.
Educatephysicians, nurses, educators, and other referral sources regarding theimportance of intensive diabetes management and continuous glucosemonitoring for patients with diabetes.
Workdirectly with patients
Responsiblefor pursuing leads, assessing needs and providing product and therapytechnical support and service, including consultation at staff in-servicesand physician seminars.
Fiscallymanage territory by controlling expenses, product returns, and productinventory.
Responsiblefor developing, building, and strengthening long-term relationships withstakeholders including distributors and healthcare professionals, andreferral sources to establish a solid base of business.
Assistin establishing the company as the leader in diabetes products in thecommunity by participating in community organizations such as localchapters of ADA (American Diabetes Association), AADE (American Associationof Diabetes Educators), JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation) andpatient support groups.
Coordinatedaily support activities and customer activities at meetings as assigned.
Completeadministrative reporting as assigned.
Utilizeapproved sales collateral to support promotional and territorial needs.
Partnerwith cross-functional teams and internal resources.
Conductsmarket research including customers and competitor activities.
Communicatescustomer feedback on new products and/or modifications to existingproducts or applications to internal stakeholders including RD,Operations and Marketing.
MUST HAVE - MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS ROLE,PLEASE BE SURE THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS ARE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME
Minimumof three (3) years field sales experience; or, Minimum of three (3) yearsinside sales experience with Medtronic Diabetes; or Minimum of two (2)years Medtronic Diabetes field clinical experience in a sales environment(i.e. 2 years as a Medtronic CTM)
NICE TO HAVE:
Priormedical device, business to business or pharmaceutical sales experiencehighly preferred.
Previoussales award recipient due to strong sales performance (i.e. President'sClub, Rookie of the Year).
Strongdata analysis, evaluation and problem solving skills.
Knowledgeof Diabetes products and therapies
Preferencegiven to local candidates.
Demonstrablesuccess in previous employment indicated by high level of salesperformance.
Mustdemonstrate deep understanding of the customer to drive, challenge andpush thinking.
Demonstratedexperience in making multiple referral calls on a daily basis.
Provenjob skills in business planning/consulting and territory financialanalysis.
Abilityto execute sales strategies in a complex, multi-faceted environment
Excellentinterpersonal, communication, negotiation skills; team oriented;conceptual/consultative sales skills.
Workson problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation ofidentifiable factors.
Abilityto exercise judgment within generally defined practices and policies inselecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
Mustsuccessfully complete sales training.
