Description TRAINING MANAGER (AFSOC-19-1850-F):
Bowhead seeks Training Management qualified personnel to augment Air Force Special Operations Command's (AFSOC) 1st Special Operations Wing squadron operations at Hurlburt Field, FL. The focus of this work is to support non-flying additional duty positions
traditionally filled by rated aircrew members. Position will work as part of an integrated contractor/government workforce providing specialized knowledge, skills and abilities in the responsibilities described below.
Essential functions will include:
â€¢ Maintain knowledge of Air Force Special Operations Command (AFSOC) training and certification programs
â€¢ Maintain 200 - 400 training records
â€¢ Schedule and track aircrew member training events as identified in applicable AF regulations
â€¢ Manage upgrade training, to include ordering and administering enlisted Career Development Courses, scheduling End of Course test dates and maintaining all OJT records for 5 and 7-level upgrade trainees
â€¢ Support education and training tasks for operations and support training, education services, curriculum development and instructor activities
â€¢ Manage training folders to include maintaining status of all current folders with a status spreadsheet
â€¢ Stay up-to-date and track leadership's priority for training, as well as stay current on upcoming deployment schedules for individuals in a training status
â€¢ Provide a copy of the metrics data along with analysis in the weekly report to the Government COR not later than 1000 hours each Friday. Metrics shall address each status of CDC's, test dates, status of training records and any other contractor or Government
identified metric that will facilitate successful performance of contract requirements.
Requirements â€¢ Minimum two years of experience working in a squadron Training Office
â€¢ Two or more years experience as aircrew on aircraft
â€¢ Demonstrated high degree of understanding and knowledge of SOF aircrew procedures to include tactics, techniques and procedures, aircrew training, standardization and evaluation, publications management, exercise management, and mobility requirements
â€¢ PEX experience preferred
â€¢ Knowledge of Air Force (AF) and Special Ops Forces (SOF) organizational structures, functions and procedures, as well as command relationships and responsibilities
â€¢ Intermediate to advanced level skills in Microsoft Office software suite - Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint
â€¢ Ability to communicate effectively with all levels of employees and outside contacts. To receive and respond to instructions/assignments, must be able to read, write and speak English.
â€¢ Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment with the ability to work alone or as part of a team
SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIRED: Must currently hold a security clearance at the Secret level. US Citizenship is a requirement for Secret clearance at this location.
