    In addition to Arizona, this position can be based in a Stantec office in the Transportation US West region, which would include offices in California, Colorado, or Washington.

    Your Opportunity

    Does playing the critical role of winning, delivering, and managing projects while ensuring we provide results that are above and beyond our client's expectations, appeal to you? Stantec's Transportation Business Line is seeking a highly driven and dynamic leader to become our next Regional Business Leader (RBL) for the US West region with responsibility for health and safety performance, financial performance, client satisfaction, staff engagement and delivery of key elements of our strategy in US West. You will report directly to the Business Leader for Transportation.

    Your Key Responsibilities

    Business, Operations, and Financial Management:

    • Responsible to understand and uphold the vision, focus, and priorities set for the Transportation Business Line (BL) and develop a plan for implementation within the region, with specific goals for business performance that align and advance the BL objectives.

    • Alongside Business Center (BC) leaders, sets ambitious business goals for BCs, guides leaders and holds leaders accountable for meeting growth, net revenue, contribution margin, and operating income targets.

    • Partners with Financial Services and the Infrastructure Business Operating Unit Operations Leader (BOU-OL) to monitor progress toward annual goals, ensuring operational excellence is reflected through financial performance.

    • Works in partnership with Transportation RBL colleagues, both in North America and globally, to drive collaboration and work sharing across the practice.

    Responsible for the development and implementation of improvement plans for underperforming Business Centers (BCs,) if any.

    People Leadership

    • Function as a highly regarded leader, thought partner and a source of counsel and advice for the region.

    • Uphold the culture, vision, and values of Stantec and the Community Development business line.

    • Function as a champion for the company, our brand, and our people.

    • Responsible for attracting, developing, and retaining best in class high performing teams across the region.

    • Actively participate in and lead recruitment, career development, employee engagement, succession planning, coaching, and mentoring, diversity and inclusion, and leadership development.

    • Foster a success-oriented, accountable environment within the region.

    Responsible for the yearly employee performance review (YEPR), rate review, and short-term incentive plan (STIP) / bonus allocation for the business line regionally.

    Client & Project Focus:

    • Focuses on client relationship strategy and works with Principals and BC leaders to drive strong results for client satisfaction surveys within the region.

    • Leads business development strategy and assists BC leaders and Principals to expand our reach and client base utilizing strong Marketing and Business Development plans, Account Management plans, and key pursuit strategies in partnership with Sector Leaders (SLs).

    • Builds strong partnerships with regional business leaders in other Business Operating Units (BOUs) within the region to foster cross-BOU collaboration client opportunities to diversify the client base, grow new expertise, and drive organic net revenue growth.

    • Increases visibility of Stantec by sharing our knowledge and innovation stories through key client engagements and thought leadership content to enhance our reputation and drive revenue.

    • Actively contributes to win strategies and successful project execution and has hands-on involvement in key Transportation pursuits as needed and on projects should issues impacting client satisfaction or project management best practices escalate.

    • Provide oversight of Top 20 Pursuit program for your Region.

    • Responsible for compliance with the ISO-certified Integrated Management System and Project Management (PM) Framework.

    • Accountable for achieving > 95% PM Framework compliance from internal practice audits.

    • Proactively identify opportunities to reinforce and further develop Stantec's high¬ performance culture with a focus on innovation, speed, and productivity, including use of our project delivery centers in Pune, India, and other locations.

    Broad Leadership Influence

    • Responsible for the region's health and safety culture and performance relative to leading and lagging indicators.

    • Represents the practice through public speaking engagements and attendance at industry and community events, meetings, and conferences.

    • Serves as a strong liaison to new acquisitions in their region, creating connections, and integrating any new team members into our practice.

    • Supports and drives firm-wide initiatives in collaboration with sector and discipline leader colleagues.

    • Uphold a corporate culture that promotes ethical practices and encourages individual integrity.

    • Strong business acumen with ability to identify, develop and map strategy, prepare, interpret, and manage financial data, and analyze business results based on a deep understanding of the AEC industry.

    • Outstanding client service skills with ability to lead others in delivering "a gold standard of service" to our Transportation clients.

    • Excellent leadership skills with proven ability to see, build, and sustain the long-term future of the practice by continuously sharing vision and working to unify the practice.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including polished presentation and public speaking skills.

    • Ability to respond timely and effectively to sensitive inquiries or issues of concern, exercising good judgment.

    Education and Experience

    • Professional Degree and registration preferred in your field of practice, as applicable.Preferably 15 years of relevant work experience in a multi-disciplinary engineering practice.
