    As a Vice President, Business Management in the JP Morgan Advisors Finance team, you will exhibit leadership and operational and financial expertise when measuring and presenting financial and compensation results, partnering with various stakeholders on cross-functional projects, driving strategy and key initiatives and serving as a subject matter expert for incentive compensation and vendor management questions. You will also be responsible for identifying, escalating, and mitigating business risks. Your role is instrumental in assisting/advising senior management and in coordinating the deployment of the bank's corporate resources to address strategic and tactical objectives.

    For this role, candidates must be able to physically work in our San Francisco office 3 days a week and remotely from home 2 days per week. The specific schedule will be determined and communicated by direct management.

    Job Responsibilities

    • Analyze variances, trends, risks and opportunities, performance against budget/forecast/targets, key business drivers and sensitivities

    • Create and deliver presentation materials on business financial results for executive management, including quarterly and annual business reviews

    • Provide financial analysis for decision making and implementation of new business strategic initiatives, including aligning stakeholders from various departments (Finance, Technology, Operations, Legal, Compliance)

    • Partner with Operations and Technology teams in the definition of future workflows and implementation of technology and infrastructure projects

    • Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation and drive implementation of process changes

    • Partner with business stakeholders to assess compensation plan changes and understand strategy enhancements to compensation plans to drive desired behaviors

    • Oversee the measurement of compensation results and financial impact; report and communicate the results to executive management, Regional Directors and other internal business partners

    • Serve as a subject matter expert for questions from professionals and executive management related to various areas of incentive compensation and third party vendor relationship, drive issue resolution

    • Maintain a detailed understanding of wealth management services offered and competitive landscape

    • Provide policy and procedural training to new employees

    Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Statistics or other related area

    • 7+ years of prior business management and/or finance experience

    • Deep knowledge and understanding of financial principles and ability to link results to activities including proven analytical, modeling and performance reporting skills

    • Exceptional personal management, organizational, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple (and changing) project deliverables at same time and build effective partnerships

    • Outstanding written and verbal communications and ability to tailor message and style to different constituencies (e.g. Finance, Executive Management, Operations)

    • Able to both define and deliver to conclusion a strategic agenda across multiple groups

    • Advanced skills in Excel (synthesizing large data sets), ability to present conclusions concisely in PowerPoint

    • Ability to generate trust and build alliances across business and functional lines; quickly find common ground and solve problems for the good of all; is a team player and encourages collaboration

    Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills
