    As the Vice President of Cybersecurity Operations at Western Union, you will develop and lead a comprehensive cybersecurity operations program designed to protect our organization's digital assets and infrastructure on a global scale. You will be responsible for leading a global and diverse team of cybersecurity professionals spread across multiple regions, including experts in Attack Surface Reduction, Red Team, Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Insider Threat, Security Operations, Endpoint Security, Network Security, Cyber Analytics, and Encryption. Your leadership will be instrumental in ensuring the security and resilience of our organization's systems against evolving cyber threats across different geographical locations. The Vice President of Cybersecurity Operations will play a pivotal role in ensuring effective cybersecurity operations, recognizing the substantial and material impact that security events can have on an organization's viability and overall success.

    Role Responsibilities

    • Strategic Leadership: Craft and execute a forward-thinking cybersecurity strategy that aligns with organizational goals and global security standards, while fostering innovation and operational excellence.

    • Team Management: Lead and expand a global team of cybersecurity professionals, including specialists in Attack Surface Reduction, Red Team Operations, Threat Intelligence, Incident Response, Insider Threat Analysis, and more. Empower and mentor your team to achieve peak performance and career growth.

    • Risk Management: Evaluate and prioritize cybersecurity risks, develop mitigation strategies, and ensure comprehensive incident management protocols are in place to respond swiftly to security breaches.

    • Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with senior management, IT leaders, and external partners to ensure a unified approach to cybersecurity. Drive awareness and embed a culture of security across all levels of the organization.

    • Innovation and Improvement: Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements in cybersecurity technology. Champion the adoption of new tools and practices that enhance our security posture and operational efficiency.

    Technical Expertise Required

    • Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, ethical hacking, digital forensics, network security, and encryption technologies.

    • Network Security: Proficient in managing network architecture and ensuring the security of data transmission and communication systems.

    • Endpoint Security: Deep knowledge of endpoint protection strategies, including the deployment and management of antivirus software, intrusion detection systems, and firewalls.

    • Cyber Analytics: Skilled in using data analytics to identify trends and potential threats, enhancing predictive and proactive security measures.

    • Encryption Technologies: Expertise in the application and management of encryption standards to secure data integrity and confidentiality.

    • Advanced Threat Detection: Ability to implement advanced threat detection mechanisms to quickly identify and mitigate sophisticated cyber-attacks.

    Role Requirements

    • 15 years of proven experience in senior cybersecurity leadership roles, ideally within a global enterprise.

    • Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, ethical hacking, digital forensics, network security, and encryption technologies.

    • Strong leadership skills with a track record of managing cross-functional teams in a multinational environment.

    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels.

    • Strategic thinker with an analytical mind, adept at problem-solving and decision-making.

    • Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, CISA, etc.) are highly desirable.

    Salary

    The base salary range is $250,000 - 300,000 USD per year, total on target compensation includes a base salary and short-term, and long-term incentives that align with individual and company performance. Actual salaries will vary based on candidates' qualifications, skills, and competencies.
