    Overview

    The Vice President of Field Asset Protection is responsible for effectively leading the Asset Protection Team to deliver best in class results and drive positive change through the consistent execution of AP's primary objectives. Builds great teams by developing leaders as problem solvers and collaborative partners, and by managing performance and potential. Provides strategic and tactical direction and leadership of shortage programs and initiatives. Manages implementation and execution of shortage initiatives in the field and provides feedback to internal business partners that improves processes and practices. Leads the field focus on safe and secure environments, teams and partnerships, theft and fraud, and operational shortage.

    Lead an organization that fosters a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and productivity. Collaborate closely with key business partners to deliver best-in-class shortage results, contributing to profitable sales growth. Execute programs that provide safe and secure environments for both customers and associates. Develop teams and partnerships that support inclusion, growth, and development. Lead consistent execution of routines at all levels that quickly identify and thoroughly resolve sources of internal and external theft and fraud. Drive assessment of store and company practices that contribute to operational shortage; resolve common causes of shortage. Operate as a valued partner to other internal teams and leaders. Have primary responsibility for all AP functions within the stores organization including shrink, safety, and shortage control.

    • Lead, supervise, coach, train, and develop Territory Asset Protection Directors.

    • Collaborate with internal business partners to drive best-in-class Asset Protection and operational execution consistently across all locations.

    • Ensure the AP organization is aligned with the broader organizational strategy and is respected and trusted for its ability to deliver shortage results.

    • Elevate the level of talent on the AP team through effective talent development, coaching and support, and performance management processes.

    • Develop and retain top talent to deliver objectives and support the growth of the organization.

    • Leverage succession planning in order to improve the depth and consistency of talent at all levels.

    • Provide strategic leadership and direction for current and future initiatives.

    • Work closely with executive leadership teams to drive business initiatives more efficiently and effectively.

    • Build key cross-functional partnerships, particularly with Store Operations, Finance, Human Resources, and Merchants.

    • Partner with key stakeholders to understand short and long-term opportunities to improve the impact and effectiveness of the AP organization.

    • Lead all aspects of the primary AP objectives in the field; Maintaining safe and secure environments, Building great teams and partnerships, Mitigating Theft and Fraud, and Minimizing Operational Shortage.

    Education: BA / BS, MBA preferred
    Experience : 10+ years of successful and progressive Asset Protection experience in a of high-volume retail organization, 5+ years in senior asset protection management roles.

    • Advanced understanding of Asset Protection / Loss Prevention practices

    • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with business partners

    • Strategic business partner who understands the impact of shortage on top and bottom line growth

    • Strong attention to detail

    • Strong PC skills in Microsoft Office suite

    • Bias for action, results oriented with a track record of achieving goals, meeting aggressive timelines, and delivering outstanding performance

    • Ability to provide inspirational leadership to a large and diverse organization
