    We are recruiting a dynamic individual to fill a key leadership role focused on strategic growth initiatives as a part of WSP's Strategic Growth Team (SGT). The Vice President, Marketing, Mid-Atlantic District will be based in the Mid-Atlantic (PA/NJ to VA) and will have oversight over marketing strategy and client, pursuit and proposal development in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Washington, DC, Virginia, West Virginia and Delaware for WSP's Transportation, Advisory, Buildings, Water and Energy business lines. The position reports to the Senior Vice President of the Strategic Growth Team in our East Region.

    The Vice President, Marketing, Mid-Atlantic District will work closely with District leadership to promote a proactive business development operation, partnering with all business lines to align priorities and drive successful client, pursuit, proposal and visibility activities across the multi-state geography. We are looking for someone that is an excellent communicator, is highly strategic, can influence and inspire others, and brings a deep understanding of the AEC industry, clients and competition.     Your Impact

    • Develops a world-class team of district marketing and sales professionals through mentoring, training, sharing best practices, and challenging individuals to deliver their best work

    • Monitors overall pursuit status and readiness to win, and takes a key role in advancing top pursuit strategy including coaching pursuit managers, recruiting, and developing teaming partnerships

    • Develops annual strategic development playbook in partnership with Business Line leaders to advance company's strategic plan within the District, and contributes directly to annual sales and funding goals, hit rate, and return on investment

    • Executes best in the industry client engagement strategies and pursuit positioning activities, and oversee proposals and presentations with an eye on continual improvement and incorporating critical intelligence into future efforts

    • Enhances WSP's brand and reputation within the District and with key client accounts by acting as a connector between WSP's experts and our clients

    • Inspires, motivates and promotes the best of WSP to our clients and communities to ensure strong employee engagement and client service

    • Leverages technology and global resources and finds ways to drive efficiency and effectiveness

    • Takes ownership of special growth initiatives, business development training, enhancement of WSP's internal processes, facilitation of go/no-go decisions and any other projects as needed.

    Who You Are

    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in Liberal Arts, Marketing, Communications, Business, English or a related field.

    • Minimum of 15 years of experience in the A/E/C or professional services industry with a track record in meeting annual sales goals

    • Experience leading teams and developing professionals while providing targeted and immediate feedback to facilitate their best work

    • Experience in leading and winning large, complex, strategic pursuits

    • Visibility in industry professional organizations (WTS, ACEC, APWA, etc.)

    • Ability to build relationships with teams and oversee strategic actions with others

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Strategic mindset and sound judgment to identify gaps in pursuits and proposals and coach team on solutions

    • Strong business acumen with an aptitude for improving processes with a commitment to internal and external client service

    • Competitive passion for excellence and the ability to build that passion in others

    • Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures
