    Vice President, Total Rewards

    The Vice President of Total Rewards (VP, TR) will be responsible for the global strategy and execution of broad-based and executive compensation, benefits and payroll. Reporting directly to the Chief Human Resources Officer, this key executive position will serve as a strategic human resources leader and business executive. This position is critical, not only to manage the total rewards for all internal employees, but to be a thought leader to connect total rewards with driving company performance and strategic long-term objectives.

    This individual will have a proven track record of creating innovative, industry-leading rewards strategies and programs, and will need to be comfortable operating in a dynamic & collaborative matrix environment. The successful candidate will have the ability to build relationships and be a high-level strategic thinker capable of partnering with Allegion's senior leaders but will also be capable of being a hands-on manager and "do-er". They will bring a forward-looking and innovative approach, which will be critical to ensuring that Allegion's rewards are competitive, drive business results, are aligned with its culture, and understood and valued by its managers and employees.

    What You Will Do:

    • Lead and shape the vision for Total Rewards, working in partnership with other members of HR leadership to deliver on the HR agenda supporting business objectives.

    • Develop/align total rewards offerings and initiatives with Allegion's global business strategy, diagnosing business challenges, exploring alternative solutions, and recommending best-fit solutions; identify opportunities for increased efficiency/effectiveness.

    • Ensure total the rewards strategy and overall program design aligns with strategic business objectives and is effective in attracting, rewarding, and retaining key talent, in a manner that is fully compliant with local legal and regulatory requirements and aligns with company values.

    • Serve as the subject matter authority on total rewards (inclusive of base salary, bonus programs, variable compensation, equity, recognition awards, and benefits). Partner with HR Business Partners on compensation recommendations, job architecture, and total reward packages for roles.

    • In collaboration with the board's executive compensation consultant, proactively review executive compensation matters and trends. Prepare and present analyses, materials and recommendations relating to executive compensation to senior leadership.

    • Analyze market competitiveness and cost-effectiveness of benefit plans to ensure they optimize the company's ability to attract and retain top talent. Implement new, and modify existing, programs to maximize positive benefits and wellness outcomes for employees while managing cost effectiveness and compliance.

    • Develop effective analytics and metrics to influence program direction and monitor business impact and effectiveness.

    • Foster a collaborative, values-driven HR team culture of high standards, strong productivity, and innovation. Lead, develop and mentor a team of 5 direct / 22 indirect individuals across the globe in the functional areas of Compensation, Benefits, Equity Administration and Payroll.

    • Design, implement and maintain processes, tools, and systems needed to grow and support people operations while balancing that with a forward-thinking employee experience strategy.

    • Build strong partnerships with the Executive Leadership Team, Legal, Finance and Accounting teams as well as our 3rd party vendors.

    What You Need to Succeed:

    • 15+ years' experience in all Compensation and Rewards programs, including the design, communication, and implementation of compensation (including executive) programs working at publicly traded companies

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business, HR, Accounting, Finance, or related degree; MBA plus.

    • Certifications including CCP (Certified Compensation Professional) and/or CECP (Certified Executive Compensation Professional) is also a plus

    • Track record of providing creative, proactive, and contemporary designs and programs responsive to the company's evolving strategies, inclusive of recurring revenue models and dynamic sales incentive plans.

    • Experience managing enterprise-wide change initiatives within the realm of compensation, benefits, payroll and HRIT systems.

    • Experience working in global, multi-location environments with geographically dispersed teams. Nuanced understanding of local/regional dynamics related to rewards in different countries and geographies.

    • Proven experience working with boards of directors and compensation committees in public company environments. Demonstrated ability to prepare and present materials in a clear and concise manner to senior leaders, team members, and compensation committee members.

    • Experience with leading edge/progressive total rewards and HR practices, to include mergers, acquisitions, integrations, joint-ventures, and divestitures.

    • Workday knowledge and experience is preferred
