    The VP Enterprise Software Engineering is responsible for leading Enterprise Systems Applications supporting our Financial & Corporate Compliance and Enterprise Legal Management Systems, including multiple ERPs (JD Edwards E1, NetSuite, MS Dynamics, CS SAP) supporting various BU's along with 30+ systems utilizing Java/.Net technologies, BI utilizing MS, SAP, and Informatica technologies. The team works closely with BRMs, Global Information Security, Infrastructure operations, Architecture, GBS IT PMO, Business Units/Divisions, and other Delivery organizations.

    Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Lead cross-functional teams to successfully deliver on system design and development for the needed business requirements supporting various Business Units

    • Lead cross-functional teams to implement Enterprise Systems Applications supporting FCC (and ELM) Systems, including multiple ERPs (JD Edwards E1, NetSuite, MS Dynamics, CS SAP) supporting various BU's along with 30+ systems (Arrow, eFarms, InTake Portal, DocCentral, CS Applications) utilizing Java/.Net technologies, BI utilizing MS, SAP, IIB and Informatica technologies

    • Lead and manage the portfolio of work for various business units

    • Work across the GBS organizations including teams responsible for requirements, solution architecture, quality assurance and production support

    • Lead and manage continuous improvement planning deliverables

    • Attract, motivate, retain, and hire top technologists

    • Partner with hardware, software, and services vendors

    • Provide strong and deep technical insights in various disciplines across delivery

    • Provide strategic, architectural, solution, implementation, and support guidance across various applications including but not limited to Integration, STEP Platform, enterprise systems support

    • Maintain comprehensive knowledge of industry standards, methodologies, processes, and best practices

    • Establish and maintain competence in current and planned versions of products

    • Understand the use of industry tools / technology & their impact on project & operational goals

    • Negotiate and structure contracts favorable to the organization.

    • Assist in process improvement initiatives by working across technical teams to enhance the systems, processes, and controls to ensure effective development, monitoring, and support is in place

    • Represent Wolters Kluwer within the industry by developing and maintaining comprehensive knowledge of Wolters Kluwer products, industry trends and general business and financial acumen through various sources and initiative. Communicate Wolters Kluwer competitive advantage to customers in a compelling articulate manner in speech, writing and formal presentation

    Qualifications:

    Education:

    Required: Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field

    Preferred: Master's degree in Computer Science or MBA

    Minimum 15+ years of broad Information Technology experience in:

    • Driving technical, cultural, and operational transformation and delivery of mission critical business programs

    • Experience in working with Enterprise Architecture, Project and Program Management, Systems Design and Delivery, and Infrastructure

    • Experience in leading large geographically disperse organizations and budget

    • Experience in leading cross-functional teams to implement Enterprise Systems Applications utilizing technology like ERPs, services implementations (including SOA or micros-services), managing information management systems, ETL/Reporting Services, delivery of large-scale applications utilizing Java/J2EE and/or .Net technologies, managing applications in different hosting providers

    • Demonstrated management, leadership and interpersonal skills and experience

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and experience including presentations to senior management, peer groups and associates

    • Demonstrated experience in mentoring, coaching associates in various aspects including technology

    • Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving skills

    • Demonstrated project management and planning skills and experience

    • Strong understanding of project life cycle methodology and procedures

    • Experience in understanding business processes from end to end context and ability to communicate to business stakeholders in a non-technical manner

    • Ability to conduct an analysis of business needs, including scheduling meetings, planning agendas, conferring with business line leaders, documenting, and making verbal and written presentations

    • Demonstrated experience in working with various geographically diverse associates and vendor partners

    • Demonstrated budget management, tracking, and forecasting skills and experience

    • Demonstrated on-time and on-budget system delivery skills and experience

    • Strong knowledge of organization policies and procedures

    • Demonstrated knowledge of systems and application technologies and architecture

    • Demonstrated experience in taking the high-level enterprise strategy and blueprints and converting into system level deliverables for delivery

    • Demonstrated experience in using industry standard toolsets to deliver requirements, design, and development. Prefer 5+ years of experience in Rational Toolsets or equivalent

    Travel required for this position: 25-50%

    Compensation:

    Target salary range CA, CT, CO, HI, NY, WA: $203,900 - $262,150
