    Job Summary and Qualifications

    The primary responsibility of the Vice President is to serve in a leadership role, guiding the Boards of HealthONE Colorado Care Partners (CCP) and Rose Medical Group/Practice Health (RMG/PH) in development of strategies grounded in producing improved healthcare quality, outcomes and cost effectiveness to third party payers and employers. The VP will also facilitate the Quality Improvement Agenda (with the clinical assistance of the HealthONE VP of Quality Improvement and the Medical Director of CCP) to ensure quality metrics are established and achieved. The Vice President will also coordinate management of the overall operations of RMG/PH and CCP necessary to contract the network(s) with payers and meet physician members' cost and quality metrics.

    • Providing guidance on the market and third party payer contracting opportunities to include traditional Messenger Model fee for service contracts through RMG/PH as well as Value Based contracts through CCP.

    • Supporting effective care processes across the care continuum (e.g., inpatient, outpatient, post-acute, home care, and wellness and disease prevention):

    • Engage CCP leadership and practices in development of processes for collecting healthcare quality data and measuring, monitoring, and rewarding performance.

    • Development of clinical data sharing and reporting; portal use for real-time reporting and alerts.

    • Analyze Payer provided reports; prepare executive summary for presentation to CCP leadership and practices identifying areas for improvement and suggested actions to guide CCP performance in patient care or health maintenance based on evidence-based guidelines.

    • Oversee Chief Medical Officer and/or Medical Director.

    • Oversee Executive Director Finance and Operations.

    • Oversee Director of Clinical Integration in all quality and clinical duties.

    • Oversee CCP and PH communication plans.

    • Develop short and long term strategic plan for PH and CCP. Educate and update all key members of Group/Division/Market operations management team (e.g., Presidents, CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CNOs and Directors, including hospitals, ASCs, IDTFs and HCA Physician Services) on ongoing activities. Coordinate all reporting and internal communication to CCP and PH leadership and practices. Develop and present annual budgets and business plans for CCP and PH.

    • Develop staffing plans: Hire and direct any current and future staff of the entities

    • Oversee all payer credentialing activities on behalf of the physicians.

    • Organize and manage all PH and CCP Board and Committee meetings

    • Support network committees and board(s) of directors by preparing meeting materials, ensuring efficient communication of network activities, and prioritizing key information necessary for the effective operation of the committees and boards

    • Coordinate current and future payer contract development, both FFS for PH and Value Based for CCP.

    • Maintain financial records and budgets for and regularly present to the boards of each of the above entities regarding their financial status.

    • Provide guidance to the CCP Board in development of criteria for distribution of any gain share earned by the entity through Value Based contracts.

    • Maintain current knowledge of State and Federal regulations, laws and legislative agendas regarding the healthcare industry, paying particular attention to those that involve healthcare reform, managed care and health insurance

    • Practice and adhere to HCA's mission and values statement and code of conduct, and attend all required ethics and compliance training and retraining

    • Perform other duties as may be assigned or requested by the Board and/or HealthONE.

    • Assist other markets in the Continental Division in development of CCPs and IPAs.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

    • Knowledge of physician office practice operations.

    • Knowledge of ACO/CIN operations.

    • Managed Care experience, specifically in the areas of value based contracts and Messenger Model FFS contracting.

    • Ability to gather, analyze, and interpret complex data.

    • Project Management: Skilled in project planning, task prioritization, effectively manages resources, outcomes measurement, and tracking

    • Successful influencer who can interact effectively with diverse groups of stakeholders such as physicians, healthcare administration, and staff.

    • Strong communication skills, including listening and presenting.

    • Ability to facilitate and lead successful outcomes on such matters as physician compensation that is mutually satisfactory to all stakeholders.

    • Ability to lead change management initiatives.

    • Strong customer service focus for patients and employees.

    What qualifications you will need:

    • College degree with Master's or five years relevant experience.

    • Minimum 5 years of related clinical and management experience involving quality improvement, leadership, and healthcare quality practices, as well as associated regulatory rules and laws.

    • At least one year must have been in capacity as direct supervisor of other professional level employees.

    • Oversight of physicians and physician compensation methodology preferred.
