Accounting Manager

Description

We are looking for a skilled Accounting Manager/Supervisor to join our team within the Manufacturing industry in Woodinville, Washington. In this role, you will be responsible for a wide range of accounting and human resource tasks, such as running month-end processes, preparing and reviewing financial statements, and maintaining financial security by establishing internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Accomplish accounting and human resource objectives by implementing procedures for recruiting, training, and coaching employees

• Conduct regular performance appraisals and provide constructive feedback to employees

• Oversee the month-end processes, including the preparation and review of journal entries and reconciliations

• Ensure the accuracy of financial statements by conducting thorough reviews and analyses before distribution

• Meet accounting financial objectives by forecasting requirements, scheduling expenditures, and analyzing variances

• Confirm financial status by monitoring revenue and expenses, coordinating the collection and evaluation of financial data, and preparing special reports

• Ensure timely payments of all taxes

• Review cash flow daily to avoid overdrafts

• Review account reconciliations with the Controller on a quarterly basis

• Establish internal controls to maintain financial security

• Stay updated with current and proposed legislation, enforce accounting regulations, and recommend new procedures if necessary.

The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 + bonus.

Requirements - Must possess strong leadership skills and have experience in executive recruiting and employee training

• Skilled in mentoring new hires and carrying out performance appraisals

• Proficiency in month-end close processes, creating journal entries, and performing reconciliations

• Ability to prepare financial statements and conduct financial analysis

• Knowledge of forecasting, variance analysis, and daily cash flow management

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, are essential

• Previous experience in the manufacturing industry, specifically in an accounting manager or supervisor role, is preferred

• Must be capable of working independently and collaboratively within a team

• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail are required

• Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

• Must have a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field

• Professional certification such as CPA or CMA is preferred

• Prior experience in a similar role is required.
