  • This role is responsible for managing software development projects associated with developing, debugging or designing software and hardware. The role embraces leadership, inspires teams, and fosters strong collaboration with product and design teams. The role envisions and executes the technical needs of the department and manages multiple teams on numerous projects based on value proposition and feasibility. The role leads the development of quality-focused, world-class software.

    Responsibilities

    • Responsible for software development on new Artificial Intelligence form factors. Will build out a team of highly capable Android developers and construct a pipeline for delivering Android OS and Agents.

    • Will define a strategy with IHVs such as Qualcomm, AMD, and Intel and own executive engagement.

    • Responsible for executive engagement and building out strategy with startups in the AI space. Inclusive of hardware, software, and AI-focused startups.

    • Thoughtfully organizes and unblocks collaboration and partnership at multiple levels, across business groups and functions to achieve the organizational mission.

    • Partners closely with Product Management, Technical Program Managers, Architects, HP product groups, and experts to envision, drive, and deliver innovative, compelling, and quality solutions at speed and scale.

    • Engages with Architects and broader HP technology excellence communities to provide technical vision and strategy for the teams; designs and leads a multi-year technical roadmap, balancing short- and long-term technology investments.

    • Provides overall financial direction to manage the development of business solutions budgets, controls and measurements to monitor progress.

    • Translates functional plans into operational processes and strategically guides execution.

    • Participates in performance management to enhance associate development; sets expectations for high performing work teams; manages pay recommendations and encourages personal and professional career development.

    Education & Experience Requirements

    • Four-year or Graduate Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.

    • Typically has 12+ years of job-related and/or management experience, preferably in software design & development, software architecture, programming languages, or a related field.
