    Requirements :

    • Required: Associate's Degree from an accredited school of nursing

    • New grads to seasoned RNs who are looking for a new challenge and growth potential are encouraged to apply

    • 1-3 years of Health Care related experience with exposure to behavioral and medical crisis situations preferred

    • Valid, unencumbered, Registered Nurse license obtained through the District of Columbia Board of Nursing (current and in good standing without restrictions), or license-eligible within 90-days

    • Must be a resident of Washington, DC

    Responsibilities:

    • Provide integrated behavioral nursing care for the patients in your unit

    • Consult with medical and psychiatric practitioners and other assigned staff in designing appropriate patient care plans

    • Communicate and carry out directions from the medical and psychiatric practitioner and communicate any barriers to providing care

    • Observe, document, and communicate patient responses to nursing interventions and change in condition
