    Your Opportunity

    Stantec is currently recruiting for a Sr. Project/Program Manager to represent the company with clients and consultants on virtually any range of subjects related to Asset Management and make decisions on behalf of the firm. The chosen candidate will be leading project teams involved in assignments primarily for large US Government industrial and military facilities worldwide, with emphasis on Department of Defense projects and clients. Location of position is Hampton Roads, Virginia.

    Your Key Responsibilities

    • Direct team members (employees and consultants) at all levels of contract administration

    • Consult with clients to determine project plans and schedules

    • Plan layouts of projects and integrate component elements into unified design for client review and approval

    • Represent Stantec in obtaining contracts and task orders

    • Prepare, lead, and/or manage the execution of studies, reports, and designs

    • Directly supervise numerous employees and at times subcontractors involved in projects

    • Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws

    • Exhibit initiative, responsibility, flexibility and leadership

    • Perform project technical work in areas of expertise as part of overall execution strategy.

    Qualifications

    Your Capabilities and Credentials

    • Ability to communicate effectively both in written and oral presentation

    • Ability to exercise professional discretion and judgment

    • Ability to multi-task and establish priorities

    • Ability to maintain organization in a changing environment

    • Possess a thorough knowledge of contract administration and office procedures

    • Ability to use extensive working knowledge of all paperwork procedures necessary to complete the contract documents to obtain permits

    • Ability to use working knowledge of all consultant work to maintain efficiencies and meet deadlines

    • Ability to write reports and business correspondences

    • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents

    • Ability to travel up to 25% of the time via a variety of travel methods including air travel

    • Excellent technical writing and oral communication skills

    • Expertise in MS Office softwares

    • Superior leadership and management skills

    • Selected candidates will be required to pass a drug, background and reference screening.

    Education and Experience

    • BS degree in Engineering

    • Professional Registration required; PE, RA, or AICP

    • Minimum 10 years of experience in Engineering or Planning

    • Experience with Federal Agency/DOD planning and budget/contracting procedures
